Nyinabulitwa Country Resort Uganda

Nyinabulitwa Country Resort is located just about 20 kms off Fort Portal in the western part of Uganda. The resort surrounds Kibale Forest National Park acknowledged to be the most gorgeous tropical rainforest in the country with eye-catching birds and insects. It has different species of primates with about 1400 population of Chimpanzees.

Accommodation
The resort has well designed accommodation with self contained cottages that put up both double and single beds with high quality services.

The Surroundings
The forest is habitant to many animals such as buffaloes, bush pigs, elephants, duikers and many reptiles. The resorts have tour guides that will lead you through the forest. The tree house will give you a perfect view for seeing birds and monkeys. A forest walk will give you a chance to get closer to some primates and birds. The lake offers many activities such as swimming, fishing, canoeing as well as Kayaking. Mountain biking and hiking are also great games.

Restaurant
The restaurants serve both international and local cuisines. Some of the food is got from the garden and is prepared to the visitors.

The Village
The resort has a craft shop with all African items managed by the community women group. Get for yourself something that will always remind you of Uganda as a great country.

Schimpansen so nahe zu kommen, ist wirklich ein einmaliges Erlebnis! Die Wanderung durch den gut erhaltenen Wald ist schon das erste Abenteuer: man fühlt sich tatsächlich tief in der Wildnis, sollte den Anmarsch jedoch nicht unterschätzen: es war ziemlich schwül und das Tempo recht schnell. Angekommen bei den Schimpansen hat man genügend Zeit, diese intensiv zu beobachten (auch wenn die Stunde natürlich viel zu schnell vergeht) und es wird darauf geachtet, dass jeder einen guten Blick erhaschen kann. Die Tiere sind an die Besucher gewöhnt und wirkten entspannt. Der nicht günstige Preis für die Permits lohnt sich definitiv - man wird dieses Erlebnis nie mehr vergessen!!!

Great place to see Chimpanzee in Uganda! The guides are very knowledgeable and gives a lot of information about the animals and plants in jungles. Chimps are normally up on the trees, however with the patience you may encounter them close to the surface and take a good picture or video. Observing is interesting as the guides are reasonably and gives more time to enjoy the nature and Chimps. I like the place and the jungles, its recommended however my advise is to do it before Gorilla trekking to avoid direct comparison as Chimps are always high compare to the Gorillas.

Estuve hace unos días en el Parque y sorprendentemente,ha sido una de las peores experiencias que he vivido.Màs de 50 personas (normalmente son unas 80),persiguiendo y acosando a un animal para conseguir una foto con él.La política de seguridad,respeto y privacidad por parte de los Rangers fue nula: ni distancias guardadas,ni mascarillas puestas,ni hablar en bajo tono,ni controlar las acumulaciones y carreras de gente tras el animal.Muy decepcionante,nada respetuoso con los animales y absolutamente nada profesional por su parte.Hablan de habituar a más familias para distribuir a l@s human@s y ampliar así,el número de visitantes y, consecuentemente,sus ingresos econòmicos .No comprendo porque un animal salvaje tiene que ser acostumbrado a la presencia de l@s human@s,con el simple fin de fotografiarlo y aumentar las visitas e ingresos del Parque.Deberían gestionarlo de una forma màs controlada y reducir la cantidad de visitantes al día.No lo recomiendo en absoluto.Le pongo una estrella porqué la web no me permite poner cero.

Amazing chimp encounter We saw chimpanzees within 5 minutes of leaving our vehicles! We watched 2 males exchanging greetings and followed them to their troop. It was and exciting trek. The guides, trackers and guards were exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable and careful to respect the chimps. I highly recommend!

RIP OFF!! What a complete letdown and rip-off!! We are experienced wildlife hikers and this hike did not provide what we were expecting. The park guide Prossy spoke softly with no enthusiasm during this hike which was over in just over 1 hour. We noticed afterwards that the hike can be up to 2.5 hours! She pointed out various medicinal plants and mushrooms but not much else. There were several opportunities to meet up with some monkeys and chimpanzees but she did not pursue either of these. It is advertised that there are 13 primate species and 370 species of birds. At no time did she try to locate any of these (yes we are quite aware that wildlife doesn't always cooperate but it was quite evident she didn't even try). We paid $70 US each!!!

Get your permits before going onto the park!!! Do not go to the visitor center without a chimp trek permit already in hand!! They do not sell chimp trekking permits at the visitor center and neither could they offer me a birding tour. On the morning I arrived it was ridiculously overcrowded with insufficient parking and a veritable zoo of humans milling around waiting to start their trek. I'm actually thinking it was a lessing in disguise that I was not able to go on the chimp trek here.
